Mosaic Makeover

Is "re-posting" like "re-gifting" in a way ... or is it more like leftovers from dinner? Well, I do love killing two birds with one stone ... and I've been wanting to join in on Transformation Thursday hosted by The Shabby Chic Cottage for awhile and well,I just so happened to have completed something this week !! ... and hey, there's nothing wrong with leftovers, right? ... most the time they are better the second time around anyway! ... so here's second helpings from my post on Tuesday, enjoy!

What I did this weekend in between Halloween parties and trick-or-treating .... I actually accomplished a project! ... a before and after ... I used to do a lot of mosaic pieces and decorative painting, but not so much anymore. I was motivated to work on a project when I saw the Fabulous Chez Fifi holding her first contest ... called "Oh-la-la" ... looked like fun to me, so off I went to look for a project to work on, not so hard to do in this house! I picked this old yucky cabinet that's been hiding out in the basement .... brought out the dishes and went to work .... then the paints and brushes .... then the cement grout ... a little distressing, a lot of distressing ... and voila! ... A finished piece ... and a perfect storage area for all of those gloves, hats, and scarves that will soon be scattered about the foyer.

I'm not sure if we'll see my entry in the "winner's circle" ... but ... it sure does feel good to have a feeling of accomplishment!
