Silver Sweethearts ...

Silver Sweethearts ... some of my favorite portraits of couples from years past ... I wonder how they shared their Valentine's days ... did they have the chance to be romantic? ... everyone always appears so serious .... I like the couple in the lower left that are posed side by side, they look like 'equals', don't they? ... posed like that ...

All tucked into a silver photo display ....

A necklace created from an antique rhinestone heart button ... a bit tattered, but not broken.

A pair of earrings created from vintage hearts wrapped in silver containing a mustard seed ...

"If Ye have faith as a grain of a mustard seed ... nothing shall be impossible unto you." Matthew 17:20

  2. Stunning heart necklace! Love the silver photo stand. I've looked and looked for one, but all I found was a large one in white metal. It will have to suffice till I find something special like yours.
Happy Valentine's Day to you! ~ Sarah

  5. So beautiful, Jill. The necklace is gorgeous, I love how you have used the tatting lace and wrapped it. The earrings with the mustard seed is so wonderful. Your scripture and vintage photos really bring this all together for me. Have a blessed Valentine's Day, dear friend!

  7. Hi Jill, Happy Valentines Day to you... I love old photographs and collect them as well... I always wondered why they never smiled... even back then I would have been giggling at the very least if someone told me not to smile... I do hope they are happy now, since they are long gone, I hope they are smiling wherever they are... xoxo Julie Marie

  24. Yes, they all did look so serious. i wonder if it is because they had to sit a long time for a picture and their mouths got tired of smiling...I just don't know. Beautiful pics though and a lovely post!
